We are open to boys regardless of which school they attend although the majority of our membership does attend the Thomas County School System. Our Pack meets at the Dawson Street Baptist Church Fellowship hall and many Den meetings utilize the Scout House at Dawson Street Baptist Church. You can be assured that your Son is receiving age-appropriate lessons that Boy Scouts of America has been teaching for generations. The most important lesson is that Character DOES count.

Congratulations Cub Scouts for doing your best again in the 2012 school year and your leaders will be rewarding you for a job well done. We will be having an end of year pool party and cook out on June 1st at the Camp Piney Woods pool from 6 till 9.

USS Alabama Trip - Class A and B Uniforms

On Saturday, all Scouts need to be in their Class A Uniforms while on the Battleship.  

They will need their Class B t-shirts for Sunday.

Please look at the attached USS Alabama registration list pdf.  The names highlighted in yellow need to turn in an Annual BSA Health & Medical Record and/or USS AL Hold Harmless Agreement.

I know the boys have been waiting for a long time and it’s finally here. We have confirmed our departure time for Saturday morning and we will be leaving at 6:00 AM. We will be leaving early so that the boys can see and meet the veterans of the USS Alabama when they arrive throughout the day.

2012 Pinewood Derby

Race fans are you ready for the smell of saw dust, the feel of a freshly sanded car, the smell of fresh paint. Then you are in luck. We will be having our 2012 Pinewood Derby Race on March 10th in the fellowship hall at Dawson Street Baptist Church.  The cubs were given their Pinewood Derby kits and extra kits are available for parents if they want to participate in the adult race for $5 a kit.
